About me

I don't sell houses...I help you move your life. Moving is not just buying a house and transporting stuff. It is moving your life, often from one stage to another. Whether you are
  • Buying your first home
  • Right sizing to a smaller or one level home
  • Relocating to or out of the area
  • Moving up
  • Investing for the first time
  • Exchanging smaller investment properties in a 1031 Tax Exchange for a more profitable property

A move can be and should be as easy as possible. My commitment to you is to make the experience as stress-free as possible while I manage the details for you.

What is needed to sell a house? Whatever it takes!

As your Realtor (licensed in Virginia) I am dedicated to excellence in every aspect of my service to you. Along with 30 years experience serving people in transition, I bring my art, legal, and organizational backgrounds together to help you articulate exactly what you want and need, show you how I evaluate the market and advise you, and negotiate contract terms for your benefit.

For sellers, I help prepare your home to "show" using my experience as a designer to develop a series of visual cues throughout your home. These carefully designed cues attract buyers and can enhance the appeal of your home, sometimes dramatically. (I have a Bachelor's degree in design from the Pratt Institute of Art and Design in New York City; Pratt is one of the oldest and best known design schools in the country. I also have a Master's degree from Hollins College.)

A trained paralegal, (Adelphi University, Long Island) I use my experience with contracts and negotiation to protect your interests and to get you the best possible deal.

Some of my other work experience has included:

  • Serving as Past President of the Newcomer's Club
  • Starting a Neighborhood association in my neighborhood.
  • Freelance commercial designer and painter (oil and mixed media).
  • Branch coordinator for a sailing school in New York City
  • Director of a program for gifted art students at the Roanoke Museum
  • Teaching art to preschoolers through seniors
  • Serving regularly on my Church boards and ministry projects.

If you have questions about buying or selling a home, please don't hesitate to give me a call.
